Read by the Dead returns to The People’s Hall with their spooky Christmas show, Festive Frights.

🎄 Join us for an evening of Christmastime ghost stories and creepy carols at The People’s Hall, Nottingham.

👻 Read by the Dead brings some of the greatest horror authors back from beyond the grave to share their haunting stories once more.

On Thursday the 10 th and Sunday 13 th of December, the People’s Hall will host:

● Algernon Blackwood reading one of his supernatural tales set on Christmas Eve;

● Elizabeth Gaskell shares her story about a haunted, snow-covered manor house;

● Charles Dickens performs one of his lesser-known Christmas stories.

The perfect evening for fans of Ghost Stories at Christmas. We hope to see you there.

🫶 This event will help to raise money for the Nottingham Historic Building Trust.

🕰️ Doors open at 7:00pm. The performances run from 7:30 pm to 9:30 pm, with a short interval.

♿︎ Unfortunately, The People's Hall building is currently inaccessible to wheelchairs.

🚽 There is no working toilet at the venue, so please make sure you are comfortable before the show starts. Toilets are available to use at the Broadway Cinema.

❄️ Wrap up warm. The building is old and cold.
