Spiritual Awakening Sharing Circle
And Peer Support Group
Have you had an experience that profoundly changed your understanding of yourself, life, or reality?
Perhaps it came suddenly, or unfolded gradually over months or years. It may have arisen through meditation, illness, grief, trauma, nature, psychedelics, contemplative practice, or for no obvious reason at all. It may have brought a deep sense of peace, love or unity—or it may have felt confusing, overwhelming, or impossible to explain to those around you.
However your experience unfolded, you are warmly welcome.
This monthly sharing circle is a place for people who have experienced spiritual awakening, spiritual emergence or spiritual emergency, or other deeply transformative experiences, to come together in a spirit of openness, compassion and mutual respect.
Whether your experience happened recently or many years ago; whether you feel you've integrated it or are still trying to make sense of it; whether you've spoken about it many times or never before—you are welcome here.
The purpose of the circle is simple: to create a safe, confidential and non-judgemental space where people can speak honestly, be deeply listened to, and find connection with others who may recognise aspects of their journey.
This is a facilitated peer-support group rather than a therapy session or discussion group. We do not offer diagnoses, treatment or medical advice, and there is no expectation that anyone will explain, analyse or interpret another person's experience. We ask everyone to listen with curiosity, respect and compassion, allowing each person to make their own meaning of what they have lived through.
Sharing is always by invitation, never obligation. You are welcome to simply listen if that feels right for you.
What to expect
The evening begins with a short guided meditation, followed by an introduction to the circle and our shared agreements. After a brief opportunity for everyone to introduce themselves, we divide into smaller groups for the main sharing, before coming back together for a closing reflection and grounding meditation.
This is a monthly in-person gathering.
Note: This is not a therapy session, but a peer-support group meant for integration and community-building. In other words, it is intended as a safe space for free expression around topics typically tabooed in today's Western society. Medical advice will not be offered. We strongly encourage each individual to participate in this co-creative space, though sharing is not obligatory.
We kindly ask that you please respect the subjective interpretation of each individual's experience by refraining from offering unsolicited cultural interpretations/projections of personal belief systems onto other peoples' experience.
Please arrive a few minutes before the advertised start time so we can begin together promptly.
For any questions, please contact the facilitator
About the facilitator
Chloe is a spiritual facilitator with a background in Theravada Buddhist monastic training and several years of experience exploring the intersection of spiritual awakening, trauma and personal transformation.
Her own spiritual awakening was spontaneous and unexpected, emerging through a period of deep healing from complex trauma. A series of profound direct experiences fundamentally changed her understanding of herself, consciousness and reality, eventually leading her to step away from her previous life and undertake three years of monastic training.
Alongside her monastic experience, Chloe has spent many years independently studying and exploring approaches to psychological and spiritual transformation, including Internal Family Systems, somatic and transpersonal therapies, family constellations, holotropic breathwork and shamanic practices. Her understanding is grounded not only in study, but in direct personal experience.
During her own awakening, Chloe found an important source of community and support through Jessica Corneille's Spiritual Awakening Sharing Circle & Peer Support Group, run through the Psychedelic Society in London. The circle became a pillar of support for her during a time when she had no spiritual teacher or community of her own.
With Jessica's blessing, Chloe is now bringing this model of peer support to Nottingham.
As a facilitator, Chloe does not represent any particular spiritual teaching or set of beliefs. She is committed to creating a safe, open and non-judgemental environment where people can speak honestly about their experiences, including those that may feel unusual, difficult or challenging to discuss elsewhere.
