Regular volunteer sessions on the Heritage Display garden, maintaining a beautiful garden for visitors and its heritage features.

We offer tasters once a month (usually on the 3rd Wednesday) where staff can support new volunteers with training on health and safety, and completing induction paper work. ***

These sessions are for volunteers who are signed up, please see above for how to sign up as a regular volunteer.

Volunteer activities:

Pruning, digging, clearing, building, watering, harvesting! Volunteers on the Heritage Garden sessions are never short of a mixed variety of tasks! There is something for all levels and abilities, and a welcoming, social atmosphere.

Meet at Ransom Road entrance by 10am.

We will then walk together to the Heritage Garden (about 10 minutes into site)

Session time 10 am (meet at Ransom rd gate) - 2pm.

Activities include practical gardening and maintenance outdoors.

We provide hot drinks and biscuits, but please bring snacks, lunch, and water.
