A fun and relaxing festive willow weaving workshop in the beautiful and unique surrounds of Oak Tree alpacas!

Weave your own Christmas decorations

This fun and festive willow session will give the opportunity to make a range of beautiful decorations for the home. A definite chance to get crafty and have a go at a range of new skills, whilst getting in the festive mood!

You should expect to go home with at least 2-3 decorations.

All materials and tools will be provided. A reasonable level of hand strength is needed – but any questions or concerns, Lucy is happy to discuss in advance.

About the venue

This is a unique willow weaving experience, as we will be weaving right next to the herds of alpacas that live at Oak Tree Farm! There is also a beautiful garden and surrounding woodland.

We expect to be weaving under cover, but may move between in and outside. We will be just metres away from the alpacas! Dress to keep warm.

The workshop format

This is a festive and creative session, in a small group of up to 6 participants so you you will have lots of support and guidance throughout.

A perfect Christmas treat to get you in the mood, we will take a relaxed and social approach to this workshop, but with some structured guidance included to learn some new skills and leave with your own special Christmas decorations that can be displayed indoors or outdoors.

Lucy will talk you through the different types of willows, and process of weaving for 2, hopefully 3, different christmas decorations.

Refreshments

Refreshments of festive tea and cake are provided by Oak Tree Farm for this workshop, included in the price.

Considerations for participants

All tools and materials will be provided and are included in the course fee. Some strength in the hands and fingers are needed to work with willow, but help and guidance is always available if needed. Please note that sales will end 1 week before the session iteself to allow us to prepare the correct amount of willow!
