Get to know the latest Affinity Photo and build a confident, clutter-free workflow from the start—what to shoot, what to save, and what to have ready at home. We’ll cover opening and organising files, essential panels and tools, plus quick wins for basic image clean-up and enhancement so your photos already feel “finished” before we get experimental. Workshop 2: Beautiful basics—made easy. Learn the core editing moves that transform a “nice photo” into a strong image: crop and straighten with purpose, lift exposure and contrast, recover detail, refine colour, and make selective improvements exactly where the eye should land. You’ll practice a non-destructive approach using adjustment layers, masks, and smart ways to save your progress so you can keep evolving an edit without starting again. Workshop 3: Make it art—textures, light, and atmosphere. This is where Affinity gets playful. Add mood with textures and overlays, explore blend modes, paint with masks and brushes, and learn simple techniques to enhance backgrounds and sculpt light. Whether you love subtle polish or bold, painterly effects, you’ll leave with repeatable methods for creating a distinctive look that still feels true to your photograph. Workshop 4: Signature finish and share-ready output. Bring everything together with creative finishing tools—filters and Live Filters, glow and blur, sharpening, noise and grain, colour grading and style presets—then learn how to keep edits flexible as you experiment. We’ll finish with practical export settings for print and screen, so your final images look as good everywhere as they do on your editing desk. Cancellation Policy It is inevitable, that occasionally an event will be postponed or cancelled for this or another reason beyond the RPS’s control. If an event is postponed we will transfer your booking to the rearranged event, with the option of a refund if the rescheduled date is not suitable for you. Occasionally an event may also be cancelled owing to a lack of bookings. If an event is cancelled we will give you as much notice as we are able and any payment by you to the RPS in respect of the event is offered as a full refund.
