ALL DI EVENTS ARE RECORDED. RECORDINGS WILL BE ADDED TO THE NOTION DOCUMENT AFTER EACH SESSION ICM After Dark with Charlotte Bellamy MONDAY NOVEMBER 9 at 10am This talk lands right in the heart of the dark nights, when streetlights glow, windows warm up, and towns and villages begin to sparkle with festive decorations. It’s an ideal session for turning those evening walks into creative opportunities, using ICM to transform ordinary lights into atmospheric, abstract images—even without a tripod. Caught out with your camera as dusk turns to dark—and no tripod in sight? In this session, Charlotte Bellamy shows how to keep creating after the light fades, using intentional camera movement (ICM) with handheld techniques. Once you’ve got the basics of ICM under your belt, it’s hard not to try it everywhere. That’s exactly what happened to Charlotte: landscapes, trees, water, architecture—all worked beautifully. But when she turned her lens to lights at night, nothing seemed to click. But then it did and she will share those insights with us. This Talk is built around those tricky low‑light moments. She’ll walk you through making ICM images once the sun has set, covering everything from sunset blurs and rain-slicked reflections to festive lights and beyond. As always, Charlotte shares not just the “how,” but the thinking behind each shot—showing both the scene as she saw it and the final image—so you can go out and start experimenting right away.
