Two ancient civilisations, countless legendary figures, and one evening to settle the age-old question: Greeks or Romans?🇬🇷🇮🇹

This term, the Oxford University Italian Society and Oxford University Greek Society are joining forces for a special Ancient Greece & Roman Empire Pub Quiz, bringing together two cultures whose histories, traditions and legendary rivalries have shaped the world as we know it.

From the philosophers of Athens to the emperors of Rome, from mythical gods and legendary battles to famous landmarks, art, food and a few unexpected surprises, we'll be putting your knowledge of the ancient Mediterranean to the test!

No need to be an expert in ancient history! We'll have a mix of questions covering history, geography, mythology, culture and general knowledge, so there's something for everyone.

Gather your fellow philosophers, senators and gladiators, or come along and make some new allies, as we find out which civilisation will claim the ultimate victory.

Join us for an evening where ancient history meets modern rivalry, and may the best team win!

Tickets are free, but places are limited, so make sure to reserve yours!

Ci vediamo lì! Τα λέμε εκεί! 🇮🇹🇬🇷
