You are warmly invited to join Prof. David Horrell, Emeritus Professor of New Testament Studies at Exeter University for an Open Lecture at Oxford Centre for Mission Studies.

New Testament studies developed as a modern academic discipline in Western Europe during the main era of European colonialism. How has this history shaped the field—and how might global voices and perspectives help to reshape it for the future?

Drawing on the history of the discipline and perspectives long marginalised within it, Professor David Horrell explores what a truly global and decolonised New Testament studies might look like.
