About This Event

The Oxford Ethnography and Education Conference 2026 will be held from Monday 7 to Wednesday 9 September at New College, Oxford. This three-day event convenes researchers, practitioners, and academics to explore ethnographic approaches within the field of education. A diverse array of speakers and presenters, drawn from across the discipline, will lead sessions over the course of the conference. Ticket prices are set between £110 and £445, varying according to the type of attendance and the duration of participation chosen. The conference offers a dedicated forum for the critical examination of qualitative research methods as they are applied in educational contexts, fostering rigorous discussion and the exchange of ideas among those committed to advancing ethnographic inquiry. Participants will have the opportunity to engage with cutting-edge methodological debates and practical insights, all within the historic setting of New College. This gathering serves as an essential focal point for scholars and professionals seeking to deepen their understanding of how ethnographic techniques can illuminate the complexities of teaching, learning, and institutional life.

The 2026 conference will run from Monday 7 to Wednesday 9 September 2026.
