We are getting together for an informal afternoon to celebrate all things cassette culture. Whether you grew up making mixtapes or have only recently started picking up tapes at local shops, this is a chance to step away from screens and talk shop with others who appreciate the tactile side of music. We will have a few decks set up for listening, so feel free to bring along a favorite tape you have been listening to lately or one you have been meaning to share. This gathering is meant to be a relaxed space for people in the Oxford area to swap stories, discuss gear, and just enjoy some analog listening. It does not matter if you are a total beginner who just bought your first Walkman or someone with a shelf full of bootlegs; everyone is welcome. We are looking forward to seeing some familiar faces and meeting a few new ones. If you think you can make it, please go ahead and RSVP so we can get an idea of the numbers for the room.
