Core training day for Yr 3 & Yr 4 incumbent-focus curates in the Diocese of Oxford

A core formational day for curates in the Diocese of Oxford preparing to complete their curacy and move on to a parish incumbency or team vicar role. Led by the Head of IME 2, with input from the Bucks PDA, Asa Humphreys, and a panel of new incumbents from around the Diocese, it will explore:

• Experiences of first incumbency and the transition from curacy into a new post

• What is asked of an incumbent and how best to inhabit the role, sharing our own hopes and concerns

• How to make sense of parish profiles – how they are drawn up, their importance in discernment and making applications, and their ongoing significance for developing your own vision

• How to read a new context, theology of place and building on that for questions of vision, strategy and sustainability
