Tony Skingle is widely regarded as the UK’s finest Elvis Presley tribute artist. He has appeared extensively on BBC TV and Radio 2, and has performed across the UK and internationally, including tours of Europe, Asia, Australia, and New Zealand.

His annual New Year's Eve show at the 3000 capacity Scarborough Spa theatre in Yorkshire sells out every year, becoming an unmissable tradition in his home town.

Tony said “I can’t wait to bring my authentic Elvis show to Oxfordshire and The George at Upton for the very first time, where I’ll be performing a full set of all the big hits on the garden stage”.

The George at Upton’s co-owner Chris Smith added ‘It’s hard not to hear everyone talking about Tony as Elvis on visits to my native Yorkshire. Knowing how authentic he is, we thought that booking him for his Oxfordshire debut would be a great idea for a summer party in our gardens. We look forward to welcoming customers old and new to this very special event, which we hope will become an annual fixture”.

The event is taking place in The George’s at Upton’s new refurbished Italian garden, and will also include dancing with a retro disco in the large stretch tent, taking in music from the 1960s to 1990s.

Elvis or retro fancy dress is optional, but encouraged, with a free beer, prosecco or soft drink for anyone arriving in the famous white jumpsuit! There will also be a competition for the very best dressed Elvis on the night, who will win a £100 gift voucher to spend at The George at Upton.

A percentage of the evening’s takings will be given to local hospice Helen & Douglas House, who will also be there on the night collecting donations.

With The Little George horsebox bar, an additional bar to avoid queues, pizza and Italian food served – including an Elvis special pizza – there’ll be lots of time to relax and enjoy The George’s hospitality. Extra free parking is provided, with the event taking place rain or shine, with cover provided in case of poor weather. Inside, The George will be open as usual for a la carte dining, reservations on 01235 635053.
