My next VN SPARK event will take place at The Oxford Belfry Hotel & Spa in Milton Common Oxfordshire on Saturday 12th September 2026. I’ll be joined by ten inspiring RVN guest speakers, delivering a dynamic mix of short 'VN spark sessions' and lively panel discussions. The day is all about real practice life, the cases, the challenges. Each session filled with evidnce based updates, practical tips, support and guidance to take back to practice and use every day. This is a day curated just for you, through our lived experiences.

My events focus on igniting and nurturing VN interests whilst encouraging knowledge sharing, community and connection. Sessions are encouraged to be relaxed and informal, sharing knowledge peer to peer, friend to friend.

Alongside the VN Spark sessions there will be a large exhibition, with 16 businesses & organisations already confirmed keen to showcase their resources, products and services. There will be over two hours of dedicated networking time split throughout the day, enabling plenty of time for community and connection.

To end the main conference day we are having a celebratory pro/nosecco whole panel Q+A. Here we will celebrate our amazing VN profession together. You’ll be able to ask your burning questions and find out more about my incredible speakers.

The history of VN Spark

Hi, I'm Lou - a UK based Registered Veterinary Nurse and founder of VN Spark.

In 2018, I launched my online community @LouTheVetNurse, which now connects & engages over 40,000 veterinary nurses globally. Through my pages, I share educational content in my areas on interest , highlight key VN news, and showcase the resources and products I love that genuinely help me improve the care I deliver to my patients.

I absolutely love connecting with other vet nurses online, but I wanted to bring that energy and community into the real world, to create something in person that reflected my passion for veterinary nursing, values, and love of collaboration & community.So, in 2022, after much planning VN SPARK was born and I hosted my very first event, welcoming 100 RVNs from across the UK and Ireland. Alongside delivering my own speaker sessions, I invited other inspiring RVNs to share their passion and expertise.

The event exceeded all expectations, it blew me away!

Inspired by its success & how much I enjoyed curating & hosting an event (and meeting so many of you!), In 2024 I took a leap, expanding delegate numbers to 150 and introduced a exhibition. I was overwhelmed by the response: early bird tickets sold out within 72 hours, and the whole event was fully booked in just 9 weeks!

The feedback from VN SPARK 2.0 was empowering, and the message from my community was loud and clear —

"Go bigger!"

So… I listened.

I feel very lucky to be able to bring my ideas and passion to life.

2026 promises to be even bigger and better and I can't wait to have you join us.
