corto.alto is a Scottish, jazz-influenced music project formed in Glasgow, United Kingdom, by multi-instrumentalist Liam Shortall (trombone, bass guitar, effects). The band's roster is completed by Graham Costello (drums), Fergus McCreadie (keys) and various horn players including James Copus, Harry Weir and Mateusz Sobieski. The group's debut album, Bad With Names (2023) was shortlisted for the 2024 Mercury Prize ('Album of the Year'). Sophomore album, 30/108 came out in 2024.
