Hi -Fi Spitfires are a 3 piece punk rock band, formed in mid 2008 by Steve Straughan (ex Holy Racket/Red London) on guitar and lead vocals. With bass player Dean Liddle and drummer Nelly (The Lurkers/ex Fiend and Hang-Ups) quickly recruited and 11 hours practice later the band had recorded their first E.P. "The 11th Hour".. With mixed influences ranging from early punk bands such as The Sex Pistols, Clash, Slaughter and the Dogs and The Boys to more recent bands such as U.
