The band was formed in 1997 from musicians living in Stoke-On-Trent in North England and have recently celebrated their 10th year of playing as Nearly Dan. The band advertise that they are able to play near note-perfect covers of Steely Dan records from across the entire discography of the band, including some solo work from Steely Dan frontman Donald Fagen.
