About Strange Pink
Hull-based alt-rock band, Strange Pink will release their debut single, 'Pencil Chewer' on March 23, 2025. The band, which features Nine Black Alps' Sam Forrest (vocals, guitar), alongside Edward Alan Logie (bass, backing vocals) and Dom Smith (drums), have crafted a Sonic Youth-infected shoegaze sound on the track. Mixed by Nick “The Muscle” Russell (Bedsit, ROTHCO) and mastered by Ed Woods (The Who, Manic Street Preachers), the track pulls together the trio’s 90s grunge influences, and a modern lo-fi post-punk energy.
