Join us for a magical family day out at our Royal Teddy Bears Picnic in the beautiful Falkland Palace Orchard.

Bring your favourite teddy bear, pack a picnic, and enjoy a delightful day filled with fun activities and teddy themed adventures - perfect for rounding off the summer Holidays and spending time with family!

Tickets were set at £9.50 for child and £3 per adult, but the NTS are delighted to be taking part in the Great British Summer Savings Scheme, with a temporary 15% VAT reduction on admission tickets and eligible events from 25 June to 1 September- the prices reflect this discount.

What to Expect

🌳 Picnic in the Orchard

Bring along your own picnic, rugs, and chairs and relax in the orchard while enjoying the beautiful surroundings! (ticket includes access to all areas of the garden)

🧸 Teddy Bear Trail

Follow a teddy-themed trail through the gardens and complete the adventure to receive a special prize at the finish... might it be a new bear buddy? (ticket includes trail and prize)

🐞 Beasties and Bears in the Burn

Join our gardeners for a fun wildlife hunt as you explore the burn and search for fascinating critters. (ticket includes access to this extra nature event)

🎨 Creative Activities

Enjoy teddy bear craft activities, a drawing station, and face painting throughout the day! (all crafts are included with ticket price)

👑 Meet Mary Queen of Scots

A special appearance from Mary Queen of Scots, who will present each child with a personalised certificate commemorating their attendance at the Royal Teddy Bears Picnic. (certificate, photos and meet and greet are included with ticket price)

📸 Photo Opportunities

Capture special memories with our teddy-themed photo spot in the heart of the orchard!

Timings:

You are welcome to attend the Teddy Bears picnic any time between 11am and 3pm where you can take part in the trail, activities and meeting Mary. Gardens can then be enjoyed until 5pm when we close.

Catering

Bring along your own picnic and enjoy sweet treats from Cherry on the Top Catering . The Falkland Palace Gift Shop will also sell icecream, cold drinks, water, snacks and crisps throughout the day.

Adult Ticket: £3.00- now just £2.63

Child Ticket: £9.50- now just £8.31

Your Ticket Includes

Entry to the gardens, access to the Royal Teddy Bears Picnic, participation in the Teddy Bear Trail and a cuddly prize for each child, free children’s activities, free facepainting and entertainment throughout the day.

Please note: Admission to the Palace is not included in your Teddy Bears Picnic ticket. Palace entry tickets can be purchased separately on the day of your visit.
