Such is the popularity of Perth Farmers Market at Christmas, that for one month only, this award-winning event runs twice. Attracting the very best in local and Scottish producers, the markets are brimming over with delicious gift ideas, festive table favourites and plenty of Christmas spirit! Make sure to place your orders for meat, fish, veg and baked goods for the big day itself as the most popular items may sell out. Visit the November market or first December market, or contact producers directly. The first farmers' market of its kind in Scotland, thanks to the tenacity of local farmer, Jim Fairlie, Perth is an award-winning market that regularly hosts around 50 stalls of fine Scottish produce. From freshly baked bread, homebaking, gin and organic vegetables, you will find top quality food and drink a-plenty. The market is largely made up of local producers from across Perthshire and farther flung 'guests' such as cheese from St Andrews or Highland beef from Aberdeen. Their location at South Inch Car Park has also allowed them to open up to artisan crafts bringing a new dimension to this hugely popular market. In addition to shopping, they look forward to introducing a range of activities and events to enjoy. Live music, cooking demonstrations along with children’s activities and workshops.
