St John’s Music Sat 3 October 2026, 1.00 pm Savourna Stevenson (harp) Composer/harpist, Savourna Stevenson will present an exciting and innovative recital of her own compositions for the Scottish Harp (Clarsach). Savourna is a harp virtuoso. Her music crosses boundaries between classical, traditional, world music and jazz. She has been called, “a composer who is a national treasure”, the Herald. Savourna is also an acclaimed composer of orchestral, choral and chamber music. Her setting of Psalm 121, commissioned by the Friends of Music at St Giles, was chosen for the late Queen’s memorial in Edinburgh. Her latest work, “Song of Stars Cantata” for children, based on Antoine de St-Exupéry’s “The Little Prince” will be performed as a “public dress rehearsal” at St John’s Kirk on Friday 16th October 2026 at 1pm. The new work has been subsidised by Creative Scotland.
