Join YWCA Peterborough Haliburton for a screening of Killing Us Softly 4, followed by a community conversation about the ways advertising continues to shape ideas of femininity, beauty, power, and worth.

Together, we’ll look at what has changed, what has simply been repackaged, whose voices are still missing, and how media influences attitudes toward women’s autonomy and equality. More than 45 years after the series began, we’re asking the big question: have we actually come that far, or did the ads just get better at hiding it?
