Go from a blank page to your own live business website, built with ChatGPT. No coding, no agency and no technical background needed. You build it yourself, step by step, with help in the room.

BEFORE THE DAY: REQUIRED ONE-TO-ONE PREP

A 30 to 45 minute one-to-one prep session with Eric is a required prerequisite, so you get the most out of your day. Eric will be in touch after you book to arrange it, usually in an evening. We check your ChatGPT access, look over your brief and answer your questions.

You also get a pre-work kit to write a short brief for your website, and a prerequisites checklist sent in advance.

HOW THE DAY RUNS

Morning: turn your brief into one clear master prompt, using the RISEN framework (recommended, created by Kyle Balmer). Choose your colours and fonts, then watch your pages, words and layout take shape in ChatGPT.

Afternoon: publish your site to the internet, point your own web address at it, and run the launch checklist on your phone.

16:00 to 17:00, bonus hour: extended Q&A to finish off, fix the last few things and ask whatever you need.

WHO IT'S FOR

Owners of small and independent businesses, sole traders, local professionals, charities and community groups who want a proper website without paying agency prices or learning to code. If you've been putting off your website, this is the day to finish it.

WHAT YOU NEED

- Your own laptop and charger (a tablet or phone won't be enough to build on)

- A paid ChatGPT subscription (Plus or Pro). This is required to take part, because the website feature isn't on the free plan. It's paid to OpenAI and isn't included in your ticket.

- Your completed brief from the pre-work

- Optional: a domain name you've already bought and your login for it, plus a logo and a few photos

20Akirkibost.com is a holiday let website Eric built with ChatGPT in a few hours, from a handful of prompts. It's live today, doing a real job for a real business.

GETTING THERE

Parking at the hotel is £10 for the day, and it's about a 15-minute walk from Plymouth railway station. A light lunch, teas and coffees are provided. Let us know about any dietary requirements when you book.

IF PLANS CHANGE

- Can't make it? Tell us by Saturday 21 November and we'll move your place to a future Build Day at no charge. The transfer is valid for 12 months, and if we don't run another Build Day in that time, we'll refund you in full.

- Less than 14 days' notice: we'll transfer your place if we can fill your seat.

- You can send someone else in your place at no charge. Tell us their name by Monday 30 November so they can do the prep session.

- If we cancel, you choose a full refund or a free place at the next one.
