CWGC Tours 2026 - Plymouth (Efford) Cemetery free guided tour on 14th October 2026
Join us for a free tour of Plymouth (Efford) Cemetery.
Join the Commonwealth War Graves Commission for a tour of Plymouth (Efford) Cemetery, led by one of our experienced volunteer tour guides.

MEETING POINT is by the Cross of Sacifice by the Chapel.
Plymouth was a naval station second only to Portsmouth during the Second World War. Devonport was also an important military station and there was a R.A.F station at Mount Batten, opposite Plymouth.
Plymouth (Efford) Cemetery contains 338 scattered burials of the First World War. The 109 Second World War burials, including 5 unidentified, are also scattered apart from a small group in a plot set aside for service burials. The Commission also maintains five non-war burials within the cemetery and war graves of other nationalities, casualties from the Chinese labour corps, Polish as well as Greek merchant seamen.
The tour lasts approx. 90 mins and covers about 500 metres on paths and grass with uneven ground with steep slopes. There is wheelchair access.
Parking available on-site and nearby. There are on-site facilities including toilets. Please bring water if required.
Please come dressed for the weather and wear suitable foowear.
Well behaved dogs on a lead are welcome.
