About This Event

Moondogz, in partnership with Plymouth Marine Park Rangers, has extended its mental health kayaking open day to include Sunday 23 August 2026. The free event begins at 10am from Richmond Walk, offering a beginner-friendly introduction to paddle sports in a calm and supportive setting. Participants can try kayaking on Plymouth’s sheltered waters, with all equipment and basic instruction provided by experienced guides. The session is designed to promote wellbeing through gentle physical activity and time spent outdoors, encouraging a sense of connection with the natural environment. No prior experience is necessary, and everyone is welcome to attend. This extension aims to provide an additional opportunity for individuals to engage in a relaxing, low-pressure activity that supports mental health. The open day remains free of charge, reflecting a commitment to accessibility and community wellbeing.
