Chantal Powell is an artist-researcher based in West Dorset with a PhD in psychology. Her interdisciplinary practice asks how symbolic imagination can function as a form of knowledge in contemporary culture. Drawing on Jungian psychology, alchemy, mythology and historical source material, she explores relationships between psyche, matter and the living world across sculpture, curatorial and collection-based projects, writing and public speaking. Her current research includes the development of Vegetal Alchemy, a framework emerging through these enquiries. She has exhibited nationally and internationally and has presented her research at Kunstnernes Hus, Oslo.
Ben Tufnell is a curator, writer and editor based in London. He has curated and co-curated more than 100 exhibitions and has held curatorial roles at Tate Britain, Haunch of Venison and Parafin. His writing focuses particularly on modern and contemporary art engaging with landscape and nature. His books include Paradise (2026), The North Shore (2023), In Land: Writings Around Land Art and Its Legacies (2019) and Land Art (2006).
