The marathon begins and ends in the charming market town of Tavistock, renowned as the birthplace of Sir Francis Drake. The course takes runners through the magnificent Dartmoor National Park, with this year’s route following an anticlockwise direction.

Competitors can expect demanding ascents and awe-inspiring vistas throughout the race. The route passes notable landmarks such as the infamous Dartmoor Prison, the serene Burrator Reservoir and, not forgetting, the iconic Dartmoor Pony.
