Join Andrew Hale, Daniel Shaw and Natalie Light for a thought-provoking exploration of canine behaviour, welfare and the human–dog relations

A fantastic one-day event, in beautiful east Dorset, bringing together some of the UK's leading speakers on the current and future ethical approaches to canine behaviour. Our key topic is 'Understanding the Complex Dog", which dives deep into the areas of emotion in dogs and the human-canine relationship. Also a deep dive into the social neuroscience of dogs, exploring how neural circuits influence social behaviour, empathy, and attachment. How dogs interpret social signals and build social bonds with both humans and other dogs.

We have three principal speakers, Andrew Hale. Daniel Shaw and Natalie Light. They will share up-to-date insights and research to enhance our understanding and relationships with not only our dogs but our clients and their dogs too. There will be opportunities for questions and discussion.

The event is aimed primarily at Canine Professionals, but dog lovers with a deep interest in training, behaviour and just what makes dogs tick might also enjoy this event.

The conference is hosted by the South Coast Canine Collective, a community of dog lovers supporting ethical, evidence-based dog training and behaviour. We bring together dog owners and qualified canine professionals to share knowledge, experience and good practice in training and behaviour. Through discussion, learning and events, we promote kind, effective training and help people find knowledgeable professionals they can trust. It was founded by Karen Murphy and Nicky Fox.
