About This Event

At Corfe Castle on 21 August 2026, a talk titled ‘Meet the Grazier’ lets visitors meet local grazier Emily Smith, who will discuss her Hebridean sheep that graze the castle mound. Tickets are required to attend.

Come along to the castle and meet local grazier Emily Smith. Emily will be on hand to talk about her Hebridean sheep, who graze the castle mound in the summer months.

Hebrideans are very hardy sheep and love to browse. This makes them the perfect sheep for managing vegetation on the slopes at Corfe Castle, keeping it in tip top condition for the rare plants, butterflies and insects that call these slopes their home.

Come along and find out more about these wonderful woolly lawnmowers!
