About the Venue:

St. Peter's Church of Ireland, Portlaoise is one of the town’s oldest surviving buildings, dating back to around 1556, when the town was known as Maryborough. Its architecture is attributed to James Gandon, renowned for designing Dublin’s Custom House and Four Courts. The historic graveyard is the resting place of notable figures, including Bartholomew Mosse, founder of Dublin’s Rotunda Hospital.

This historic setting provides a fitting backdrop for an evening of music, community and Christmas spirit, all in support of Safe Home Ireland’s work with returning Irish emigrants.
