What is CEMAST/CETC?
CEMAST is our Centre of Excellence in Engineering, Manufacturing and Advanced Skills Training (CEMAST). It is an outstanding provider of career-led courses, including T Levels and Higher Technical Qualifications. Our courses will open the doors to many exciting progression and career opportunities.CEMAST and its new Institute of Technology (IoT) house a range of high-tech tools and machinery, ensuring students and apprentices have access to the most up-to-date industry-standard equipment.CEMAST has Centres of Excellence in:
· Aeronautical and Aerospace
· Electrical and Electronic Engineering
· Engineering and Manufacturing
· Maritime
· Motor Vehicle
CETC is our Civil Engineering Training Centre (CETC). This purpose-built two-acre mock construction site is close to our CEMAST training centre on the Daedalus Airfield, and is dedicated to the delivery of a specialist Civil Engineering & Groundworks Apprenticeship and also specialist training in Highways.
CETC is designed to provide a fully operational, realistic groundworks and civil engineering training environment and is fully equipped with the machinery, tools, materials and resources needed to ensure you develop work-ready skills and complete the relevant licences required to work successfully on-site.
On-site equipment includes:
· Forward tipping dumpers
· Ride-on rollers
· Cement mixers
· Wacker plates
· 360-degree excavators
· Loading shovels
· Levelling equipment
· 180-degree backhoe loaders
· Construction vehicle simulators
