About This Event

The Five To Thrive Resuscitation Workshop will take place at Newport Family Centre on 15 October 2026. This informative session will cover topics such as choking, gagging, when to call for help, and paediatric CPR demonstrations. Attendance is free.

An informative workshop covering choking, gagging and when to call for help. Also covers paediatric CPR and demonstrations.

This session will be held at our Newport Family Hub, Furrlongs, Newport, PO30 2AX and is for Parents of Babies 0-6 Months.

This is an information session and chance to ask questions.

What will be included in the session:

• Difference between choking and gagging and when to call for help

• Opportunity to watch and/or partake in demonstrations on what to do in the event of a choking episode .

• We will also cover what to do in the event of an unresponsive child / baby according to UK resuscitation Council guidance and paediatric CPR

The session will include demonstrations and the chance to have a go.
