Join us for an informal information session introducing the next round of Resonate, Play Office’s artist development programme supporting artists to experiment with immersive and creative technologies, develop new work and connect with mentors, communities and international partners.

The upcoming programme will support three emerging or mid-career artists based in, working in or strongly connected to Portsmouth. Each selected artist will receive:

£3,220 artist fee

£500 materials budget

One-to-one mentoring and creative development support

Access to Play Office’s studio, equipment and creative technology

Technical and production support

Opportunities for international residencies in Cairo and Lebanon

The chance to develop and present new work in a public exhibition in November 2026

At the session, you’ll hear from the Play Office team as well as past Resonate artists, who will share their experiences of the programme, the work they developed and what they got from taking part.

We’ll talk through who Resonate is for, what kind of work we’re looking for, how the programme will run, what support is available, the international opportunities and how the application process works.

There will also be plenty of time for questions.

Who is it for?

You do not need to already be a digital or XR artist. Resonate is particularly interested in artists who have an idea, subject or creative practice they want to explore through technology and would benefit from support to take the next step.

For this edition, we are particularly looking to support artists from groups currently underrepresented within creative technology, including LGBTQIA+ artists, young artists and women artists.

Artists working across visual art, performance, sound, film, installation, storytelling, games, digital practice and other disciplines are welcome.
