at the Mary Rose Museum Education Centre

Our panel of four speakers will bring education settings up to speed with both Martyn’s Law and how it affects educational settings, and the updated DfE digital and technology standards across 6 core areas.

Speakers will also discuss:

Developing an integrated digital strategy and what the classrooms of the future look like; funding opportunities and creating a winning grant application; and the latest cyber security insights and free training across academic settings from SECCU, while partners will showcase integrated infrastructure technology solutions.

Who should visit?: Head Teachers/Procurement/Facilities Managers, IT Manager, HR Manager/or SLT's

Attendees can pre-book either a morning or an afternoon session.

The Terrorism (Protection of Premises) Act 2025 (the act) became law on 3 April 2025 (commonly known as Martyn’s Law). This new law will come into effect from April 2027. Simultaneously, the DfE issued updated digital and technology standards across six core areas to be met by 2030 and, more recently, the Secretary of State for Education issued a Policy Paper: .Every child achieving & thriving focussing on a higher level of support for children with SEND across all levels of mainstream settings.

With the need for compliance comes an opportunity for educational settings to further develop their digital strategy, integrating the continuing need to meet carbon reduction targets, keep ahead of cyber threats, take advantage of the latest technologies available both for teachers, students and facilities/IT management, as well as updating any safety, security and facilities management of the setting to comply with the new law and regulations.

The Wired In For Education event has been designed to bring schools, colleges, academies, and trusts up to speed with the latest laws/regulations and understand how technology can support safer, more resilient, and future-ready education settings.

10.15 am-12.30 pm

1.30 pm-3.45 pm
