16 Days of Action Against Gender Based Violence is an international campaign that runs from 25th November to 10th December and encourages action and awareness against all forms of violence against women and girls.
On 24th November, which is the eve of White Ribbon Day, Bamber Bridge Women's Shed, supported by Hope Prevails, Girls Who Walk Preston, Safenet, Key, Girls Who Walk Chorley & DASSL will be holding, for the first time, a Reclaim the Night march from South Ribble to Preston. We will take to the streets to demand the safety of women and girls.
It’s a family-friendly event, so all are welcome to march for safer streets for our sisters, our mothers, our daughters and our community. Like most of these awareness events, we expect a high attendance from women, girls and non-men, but we would really like to see men represented too, because as we all know, to end male violence against women and girls, men and boys are part of the solution. We need more male allies!
We want as many of you to come along this year as possible, change is possible, but only when we come together collectively.
