Join Women in Construction North West for Building Connections: Preston, an afternoon of connection, conversation and community for women across construction and associated industries.

Taking place on Thursday 15 October 2026, from 3:00pm to 5:00pm, this relaxed afternoon tea networking event is designed to bring women together locally while forming part of one wider WIC North West network taking place across multiple locations on the same day.

Whether you are early in your career, an established professional, a senior leader, working on site, in an office-based role, running your own business, or interested in entering the sector, this event will provide a welcoming space to meet others, share experiences and build meaningful professional relationships.

Hosted locally in Preston by Committee member Zowi, the session will include afternoon tea, informal networking, guided conversation cards and a short community discussion to explore what support women in construction need most across the North West.

Together, we will talk about career confidence, progression, mentoring, visibility, barriers in the industry and the practical support WIC North West can provide in future.
