LinkedIn: Making It Work for Your Business

Most people have a LinkedIn profile. Though far fewer are using it in a way that actually generates results. This session cuts through the noise to focus on what genuinely helps small businesses and sole traders - from profile changes that take minutes but make a real difference, to content approaches that build visibility without demanding hours of your week. You'll leave with a clearer sense of where your time is best spent and a handful of practical steps you can act on straight away.

Key takeaways:

How to position your profile so the right people take notice

Content habits that build consistent visibility without overcomplicating your week

How to engage your existing network to open up new conversations and opportunities

What's worth your time on LinkedIn (and what isn't)

Our guest speaker: Tom Stables MA BSc (Hons) CMgr FCMI FHEA

Tom Stables is a Lecturer in Digital Marketing at the University of Lancashire, where he leads the BSc (Hons) Business and Marketing degree and researches how AI is reshaping the way people learn and work. Before moving into academia, he spent over two decades in industry as a founder and Creative Director, building brands, leading campaigns, training teams and shaping digital strategies for businesses across multiple sectors.
