We're delighted to be taking part in Dream BIG Day 2026, a very special international celebration bringing together young dreamers, families, bookshops and libraries around the world through the bestselling Little People, BIG DREAMS series.

Join Nicci for an inspiring storytime as we discover some of the extraordinary people featured in Little People, BIG DREAMS – and find out how their incredible stories all began in exactly the same way: as little people with big dreams.

After our storytime, children can get creative with official Little People, BIG DREAMS Dream BIG Day activities, celebrating their own interests, ideas, ambitions and dreams for the future.

And why not come along dressed as your favourite dreamer from the series?

ABOUT DREAM BIG DAY

On Saturday 26th September, children and families around the world will be coming together to celebrate Dream BIG Day 2026.

Inspired by the Little People, BIG DREAMS series, this global celebration encourages children to discover inspiring people, explore their own passions and recognise the amazing things that can happen when people have the courage to dream big.

Happy Reading Children's Bookshop is delighted to be one of the participating bookshops joining this international celebration.

ABOUT LITTLE PEOPLE, BIG DREAMS

Tickets are £5 per child and include a FREE Little People, BIG DREAMS book of your child's choice to take home and enjoy.

Important Information :

Suitable for children aged 5 - 9

Event duration: approx. 30 minutes

Ticket price: £5 per child (includes a hardback book, usually £9.99 or £10.99)

Booking is essential — spaces are limited!

The bookshop is on the first floor, accessed via a flight of stairs.

Children will sit for the reading, then move to a play/craft table for activities. All materials are provided and age-appropriate.

Adults may stay for the event (limited seating available) or relax with a coffee and pastry downstairs in STAPLE.

If you can’t attend, please let us know so we can offer your space to another family.

Photos may be taken for social media (backs of heads only). Please let us know at the start of the session if you prefer your child not to be included.
