Books that build us - Navigating Change
Join us for this in-person, small group session where we will think about what change means for us, and how we can navigate change in our lives no matter what circumstances we are in. Change is a natural part of life, but it can often feel challenging, uncertain, or overwhelming. The group uses stories, books, and guided discussion to help explore the theme of change in a safe and supportive environment. Through reading and reflection, participants will consider different types of change, including transitions, personal growth, relationships, identity, loss, and new beginnings.
The session will be facilitated by an accredited therapist, and no previous experience of personal development groups are necessary.
Personal Development Groups provide a supportive space to learn new skills, build confidence, and explore ways to improve emotional wellbeing alongside others with similar goals.
Bibliotherapeutic practices use carefully selected books, stories, and written materials to encourage reflection, understanding, and personal growth. Together, these approaches can help people gain new perspectives, develop coping strategies, improve self-awareness, and make positive changes in their daily lives, all within a safe and supportive environment.
This is a one-off introductory session, participants will however get the chance to reserve their places in an ongoing group.
