Give a little, help a lot

Join us on Saturday 21st and Sunday 22nd November as we support The Cowshed with packing food hampers for distribution to those in our area experiencing hardship at Christmas.

The Cowshed - Showing love and support to those experiencing hardship in Berkshire.

Every year, The Cowshed helps thousands of children who would not otherwise receive Christmas presents. For the last few years, Saltshaker has provided The Cowshed with gift food hampers to share with families in our area experiencing hardship at Christmas. Last year, we provided 1,500 hampers - enough to ensure that every family that The Cowshed supported at Christmas was able to receive this gift - and we hope to match that figure this year. The hampers will be delivered to families by The Cowshed alongside their Christmas Present appeal which in 2025 supported more than 3,000 children: read The Cowshed 2025 Christmas Impact Report (https://www.thecowshed.org/christmas-impact-report/) and see the video diary of The Saltshaker 2025 Hamper Packing Project (https://www.dropbox.com/scl/fi/fxdj8hojthdnxwjhjxh8y/2025-Christmas-Hampers-Summary.mp4?rlkey=6k2gdplrdxgs1bms71s12obcd&st=doih8787&dl=0).

How can you help?

To achieve this dream, we need your support! Please consider supporting us in one of the following ways:

Grab a ticket for a hamper packing session... Many hands make light work! We have a number of sessions for packing the hampers, across Saturday 21st and Sunday 22nd November - mark your diary and join us at one of them. Friends, partners, families and children are all welcome. We'll turn on some festive tunes and share a mince pie and a hot drink while we work!

Whether you can join us for a packing session or not, please consider sponsoring a hamper (or five)! Each hamper costs more than £10 to provide and you can make a donation through our JustGiving page (https://www.justgiving.com/crowdfunding/saltshakerhamperproject).

Spread the word! Share this information with friends, family, colleagues, school groups and clubs to help us build awareness and support.

Thank you!
