🎬 FREE DRIVE-IN MOVIE NIGHT — AND YOU CHOOSE THE FILM

Staines Stake and Thames Valley Stake are holding a free drive-in cinema evening, and everyone is welcome — members, friends, neighbours and families from across the community.

📅 Saturday 10 October 2026 🚗 Gates open 6:30pm — film begins 7:30pm 📍 Thames Valley Chapel, 280 The Meadway, Tilehurst, Reading RG30 4PE 🍿 Free popcorn and soft drinks 📻 Sound broadcast to your car radio 🎟 Free admission, but a ticket is required — room for approximately 40 vehicles

ARRIVE EARLY FOR THE BEST VIEW

Spaces are allocated on arrival rather than reserved in advance, so the earlier you come, the better your spot. Stewards will direct you on arrival, and larger vehicles will be sent towards the rear so that everyone has a clear view. Please switch off engines and lights once the film begins; jump leads are on hand should a battery run flat.

SOUND

The film audio is broadcast on an FM frequency, which will be announced before the start. Handheld radios are available if your vehicle has no FM receiver.

NO CAR? NO PROBLEM

Seating and portable radios will be set up beside the screen.

WORTH BRINGING

Blankets and pillows, camping chairs if you intend to sit outside, a torch, a battery-operated FM radio if you have one, and any extra snacks you fancy. Toilets and a baby-change facility are inside the chapel. If the weather prevents an outdoor screening, the film will be shown indoors.
