黃照達,漫畫家。畢業於香港中文大學藝術系。2007年起替報章及雜誌創作漫畫及插圖。其政治漫畫專欄《嘰嘰格格》於《明報》連載至2021年。出版作品包括《Hello World》、《Lonely Planet》、《大時代》、《新香港》等 。曾任教城大創意媒體學院及浸會大學視覺藝術院,現定居英國。

Live Drawing × Visual Narrative
In this show-and-tell session, cartoonist Justin Wong will adopt a visual narrative approach - drawing live on stage while narrating - to lead us through his 20-year journey as a political cartoonist in Hong Kong. In the process, he will share his thoughts on Hong Kong and identity, and reflect on artistic creation and its connection to society since relocating to the UK.
About the speaker
Cartoonist Justin Wong, a graduate of the Department of Fine Arts at The Chinese University of Hong Kong, began creating cartoons and illustrations for newspapers and magazines in 2007. His political cartoon column Geek Geek Kak Kak (嘰嘰格格) has since appeared regularly in Ming Pao Daily (Hong Kong) until 2021.
Wong‘s published works include Hello World, Lonely Planet, The Great Era, and The New Hong Kong. Having taught for many years at the School of Creative Media, City University of Hong Kong, and the Academy of Visual Arts, Hong Kong Baptist University, he now lives in the UK.
