The Reading Triathlon was the very first triathlon event to take place in the UK, and was held at the Kirtons Farm Water Sports Centre back in 1983. Tri2O Triathlon Club now bring you the Reading Triathlon, a race run by triathletes for triathletes, still at the original venue!

The Reading Triathlon has seven fantastic race options for you.

The race itself takes in an open water swim in the lovely waters of the Hi5 Open Water Swim Centre, followed by a stunning cycle course around the local lanes of Burghfield, Mortimer, Silchester, Stratfield Saye and Grazeley, before finishing off with a run around a lakeside trail.

If you would like to marshal or have family/friends/supporters who would like to be involved, we are always very grateful for help, so email us at events@tri2o.club to register your interest in volunteering.

We are aiming to make our race as sustainable as possible. We don't give away T-shirts at the end of the event, as we have found guessing the sizing often leads to a lot of waste at the end of the event and a few disappointed people. Participants will need to bring their own swim hat. For those of you who love an event swim hat, fear not we have given you the option to purchase one when registering. We have also removed plastic cups from our water station as well, and we have a new collapsible cup to purchase when you register if required.
