About This Event

Supermarket Seven! is an event at Reading Biscuit Factory in Reading on 7 October 2026 at 7pm. The business-focused talk, titled 'How much should I spend on wine? Are more expensive wines better?', has admission details available on the organiser’s website.

Event Description

How much should I spend on wine? Are more expensive wines better? Can you really taste the difference between a cheaper and more expensive bottle?

These are questions we get asked a lot so it's time to find out!

Join us on this fun evening when we will try 6 different wines, all tasted 'blind'.

Is it really worth paying more?

Can we find quality at lower price points and is personal preference the most important differentiator?

You will be the judge!

There is so much choice now at "the wine wall" in the supermarkets. Some great value wines. But it can be a minefield. We've been to different supermarkets. We've chosen our favourite wines to taste with you.

Deliciously refreshing whites. Some big juicy reds.

This evening is suitable for all levels of wine knowledge!

This event will include tasting samples of six carefully selected wines, wine notes & handouts, and a 2-hour interactive presentation, with Q&A, led by our wine tutor.

All our courses can be purchased as a gift either as a dated or undated voucher.

Description supplied by the event organiser.
