The Community Forum is a chance to find out about the University's community activity, share your views and connect with University staff.

The University of Reading are excited to welcome you to the Autumn Community Forum 2026.

Hosted by the Vice Chancellor, Professor Robert Van de Noort, this is your opportunity to find out more about the University and Reading Student Union's community activity, share your feedback on our work and raise any challenges which can be addressed directly.

Come along to connect with University staff and build stronger relationships to encourage better collaboration between the University and the local area.

The theme of this Community Forum is all about food! Come and taste our delicious food, find out more about how our food research is making a difference locally, collect recipe cards of the food served to recreate at home and share your views on how we can work with communities to improve access to food for local families.

The event includes a buffet dinner and refreshments.

This event is free and open to anyone in the local community.

You must register for a free ticket to attend the Community Forum.

Location - the Community Forum is being held at Eat at the Square, Whiteknights Campus.

Parking - we would encourage the use of public transport where possible.

All car parks on Whiteknights Campus are free to park in after 5pm, except Car Park 1A. The closest car parks to Eat at the Square are Car Parks 10 and 15.

Public transport - the 21 and 20 bus routes run regularly between Lower Earley, the town centre and University, with a stop on Whiteknights Campus.

Environmental sustainability - cups will provided, however you are encouraged to bring your own reusable cup to support the environmental sustainability of the event.
