Little Connections is a free, informal space for parents, carers and babies in their first year. Rather than a structured baby class, it’s a chance to slow down, have a coffee, enjoy baby-led free play and connect with other parents at a similar stage.

Our sessions are loosely grouped by age to help you meet parents with babies at a similar stage, but these are only rough timings — you’re welcome to join whichever session works best for you and your little one. We know all too well that life with a baby doesn’t always go to plan! We’ll be there from 9:30am–12:30pm, and Angel Café will also be open afterwards if you’d like to stay a little longer.

Most importantly, this is a safe, relaxed space to come as you are, connect with your baby and connect with other parents. There’s no pressure to take part in activities and no expectation to have everything together.

Little Connections is completely free to join. If you’re able to, a small £2 weekly donation would really help us cover the running costs of the group, including cleaning supplies and baby-safe resources, and help us keep these sessions free and sustainable for local families. We completely understand that maternity pay can be tight, so free tickets are always available and there is absolutely no pressure to donate. Every contribution, however small, helps us keep this a safe, welcoming space for parents and little ones.

Session Group Times

New Baby | Birth–4 months | 9:30-10:15

In the really early days - our focus is to welcome you a space to get out of the house, having a drink, meeting other new parents and enjoying simple moments with your baby.

Growing | Around 5–8 months | 10:30 -11:15

For babies becoming more alert, curious and interested in reaching, grabbing and exploring- giving you a moment to pause and connect with your little ones and one-and-other.

On the Move | Around 8–12 months | 11:30-12:15

For babies who are increasingly mobile, fidgety and curious about everything around them - a moment for you to pause and soak in these special moments together.

Please note that these are free peer-led meetups to support parental connection; parents remain fully responsible for their own children at all times, and CHPC accepts no liability or accountability for attendees.
