Lorikeet will perform at an early evening concert on 3rd October 2026 at The Wellbeing Hub Warminster in Salisbury. The concert will start at 4:00 pm and tickets are available from £10.00.
Lorikeet came together in 2022 and has since been steadily building their local following in Somerset.
An enticing union of deep groove and sumptuous harmony.
Raw acoustic cello, percussive textures, and rich Americana-laced harmonies sit at the heart of their sound — rooted in groove, but with plenty of room to breathe. Their folk ballads take the road less travelled, finding stories in unexpected corners, while improvisations drift toward texture and soundscape rather than showmanship. The result is something earthy and playful in equal measure, intimate but never predictable.
Rosanna Schura, Singer songwriter Rosanna Schura grew up listening to folk and jazz music, deeply influenced by the backdrop of Dartmoor. As well as writing for and playing with Lorikeet, Rosanna is also a member of The Puppini Sisters and recently recorded their eight studio album due for release in Spring 2026.
Rosanna is a regular collaborator of DG Solaris featuring on several singles and his most recent album Tellisford Loop.
Dave Smith is best known for his work with Robert Plant and the Sensational Space Shifters, Fofoulah, and Afro-Blues group Juju. He has recorded drums for Rachid Taha, Bassekou Kouyate and Robert Plant and has performed with Patty Griffin, Donny McCaslin, Chrisse Hynde and Eddie Henderson. As co-founder of the Loop Collective, Dave is part of some of the most adventurous musical projects in the UK, which include Strobes, Cloudmakers Trio, Outhouse, MA and Splice. As co-leader of Outhouse Ruhabi and Fofoulah, he is the man behind the most fruitful collision of West African drum music and European jazz yet to surface.
