About This Event

Shaftesbury Library is delighted to announce a special event on Saturday 25 July at 11am, featuring author Angela McAllister. Ms McAllister will be reading from her enchanting book, The Enchanted Flute, a perfect introduction to the magic of storytelling. This occasion also serves as the official launch for this year's highly anticipated Summer Reading Challenge, encouraging young minds to dive into a world of books throughout the holidays. Following the captivating reading, there will be a fun, hands-on craft session. Children will have the chance to create their very own pan pipes, inspired by the story, and fashion a regal crown to take home. This delightful event is completely free to attend, making it an accessible and enjoyable start to the summer for families.
