This course begins by watching a video (beforehand, at your leisure) which explains developments in contemporary thinking about mission since the middle of the Twentieth Century, especially how it begins and ends in God. Thus, we will introduce the important theological concept of the "</span><span class="NormalTextRun SpellingErrorV2Themed SCXW75607606 BCX0">missio</span><span class="NormalTextRun SCXW75607606 BCX0"> Dei" or the mission of God, un</span><span class="NormalTextRun SCXW75607606 BCX0">der</span><span class="NormalTextRun SCXW75607606 BCX0">stand how there is an ecumenical consensus around this idea and think about the implications of it for the Church and our practice. He currently tutors in Spiritual Direction at Sarum College. Holds a Professional Doctorate in Missiology from Birmingham University (2008) and is a member of the International Association of Mission Studies.
