About This Event

Performing at Salisbury Playhouse in December 2026, *The Tailor of Gloucester* presents a dramatic tale of craftsmanship and chaos as a dedicated tailor races against time to create an extraordinary coat for the Mayor before Christmas Day. Amidst this pressing deadline, his mischievous cat Simpkin indulges in relentless pursuits of mice, adding a layer of perilous urgency to the festive preparation. The production brings these contrasting rhythms of labour and play to life on stage, capturing the tension inherent in such a high-stakes holiday narrative. Tickets are available from £12.50 for this forthcoming theatrical experience.

The event takes place at Salisbury Playhouse on December 26, 2026, at 13:30. The production is an interactive, magical musical show designed for young children and families. Building on the success of the 2019 production, this brand-new version will have new songs and a fresh look.

The show is brought to you by the writers behind The Night Before Christmas (2016 & 2018) and Little Robin Redbreast (2017 & 2020).

The ticket price for this forthcoming theatrical experience is from £12.50.
