About This Event

The Scarborough 400 Celebration is set for 15 November 2026 at the Beachcomber Kiosk in Scarborough. This event aims to gather participants on the beach to form the number 400 in celebration of Scarborough's 400-year history. Participants will receive a silicone swimming hat and may have the option for a quick dip in the sea afterwards.

Join us in person on the beach to celebrate 400 years of Scarborough with fun, friends, and community spirit!

Come and celebrate Scarborough 400 in person at the Scarborough Sea Pool 400 Celebration!

Scarborough Sea Pool CIC are planning a challenge for the Scarborough 400 celebrations. On Sunday 15th November 2026 at 11am they want as many people as possible (ideally 400) to join them on the beach at Scarborough’s South Bay near the Beachcomber Kiosk. Participants will make a big number 400 on the beach.

Scarborough Sea Pool CIC will provide a brightly coloured silicone swimming hat for each participant. People of any age* can join in and even dress up as your favourite sea creature. Optional quick dip in the sea afterwards, subject to weather and sea state, tide is forecast to be low. *Participants under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult.
